PR Account Manager at White Space PR, Emma Noye and her team have been shortlisted for ‘Best Campaign £10,000 and Under’ in the 2012 East Anglia CIPR PRide Awards for their outstanding work with Ipswich Central.

Emma is the first to agree that work experience whilst studying at Lincoln has helped in her success.: “An  Easter work placement led to my first job when I graduated in a PR agency, then I was approached to work in-house for a software company handling all their marketing, PR and events. Then 18 months ago, White Space approached me to come on board and head up their fledging PR division and I absolutely love it!” Continue reading →

Public Sector – I LOVE IT!

There, I said it. Out and proud, I work in the public sector, and I love it. Anyway, now that is over, therapy done, I can tell you how I got here…..

Graduating in 2009, I had had my fix of public relations and wanted rid. I decided I was going to find a job back at home for a year, and spend time with friends and hang on to the student lifestyle for 12months more. After graduating in 2007 with a BA Hons in PR, I found myself on work experience at Pegasus PR in Sussex within a few months. During this 3 month placement I was offered a permanent job as Junior Account Executive and whilst the business has grown so has my career, I am now Account Manager across several successful consumer health and lifestyle brands. I graduated from Lincoln with a joint degree in PR and Media Communications back in the dark and murky past (or 2004 for those of you who can remember that far back!)

The course gave me a good grounding for what was to come, which included work placements with Middlesbrough Football Club’s Media and Communications team and what would now be called an internship with the Yes Campaign for a north east regional assembly. Continue reading →
