Jessica Hodkinson, 2010 PR and Advertising alumni has reached the top ten of the prestigious UK Blog Awards 2014 for her Online PR Company blog that: “… takes readers through the ideas and social initiatives enveloped within the new innovative world of PR from a personal perspective”. Her top three blogs include coverage of her trip to cover Social Media Week in Mumbai and top ten tips for fashion brands. http://www.prcompany.org.uk/

Jess’ former tutor Jane Crofts is immensely proud, especially as Jess was amongst the first cohort Jane taught at Lincoln from their first year. “Your first students are always a bit extra special as they help form you as a tutor. Jess always stood out as someone who would try new things and explore innovation for example she was instrumental in helping Value at Oxfam in Lincoln realise it needed some PR help sowing the seed of an idea in my mind that is now Cygnet PR”

The awards ceremony is in London after Easter so it’s a while before Jess will know if she has won or not. Unfortunately she will not be able to attend in person as she is taking time out to travel having pursued excellent career development in social media and with Daniel Footwear in Leeds. She is a classic example of PR having success in the regions – London isn’t everything for a top notch career!
